In episode 6, Gareth Morgan, Managing Director of AML, discusses the importance of investing in people, technology and communication within a business. At the height of COVID, he increased business briefings to three times a week, allowing for Q&A sessions at the end of each one. Gareth says, as an MD it is vital to not only focus on the longer term plans, but to think about the 'now' and how to adapt for the immediate future to help stick to the longer term plan.

Gareth also discusses the importance of having a robust IT infrastructure. Due to moving their systems over to cloud hosting in December 2019, the team were able to adapt easily when working guidance changed. He believes that leaning into automation, data-driven decisions and the latest techniques is essential for achieving continuously increasing productivity.
